Our Mission

City Heights World Cup is an event to serve and love our community in San Diego! City Heights is an extremely diverse area with refugees and immigrants from all over the world. In a place where there are many languages spoken, there is one common language that brings people together and creates unity, soccer. City Heights World Cup is a time to celebrate our diverse community and love the families who have made this place their home. Help make this event happen by getting involved or by donating!

Our Purpose:  To provide a fun and affordable soccer program which creates community, develops individual and team skills and empowers youth for the future.

In order to host this event, we rely heavily on donations from individuals, organizations, and churches.  Below you will find information on ways you can give financially or in other ways.  Thank you for your support!

  • Tables/Chairs/Tents
  • Raffle prizes (soccer items)

Financially

We will need to raise $6,000 for this event. You can give to our general fund or here are a few ways you can give specifically:

  • Sponsor a team: $300 Provides for team registration fee, t-shirts, and food 
  • Field Expenses: $1600
  • Referees: $700
  • New soccer balls: $40 each ball (9 balls needed)
  • Medals/Trophies/prizes: $800 
  • Snacks/water: $500
  • T-shirts for players, volunteers, and giveaways: $2000

Donations valued at $500 or more will be recognized by name or logo on the back of the tournament t-shirts.

Volunteer 

We will be providing community service hours for any volunteer position.

Referees

We are asking for people who have experience reffing or who have played soccer throughout their life.

Stat/Score Keeper

We give prizes away to the player who scored the most goals and goalie who made the most saves. Help us watch the games to keep track of all of the stats and score.

DJ/MC

We need someone to keep the event lively. This person will be in charge of playing music, making announcements, and our raffle.

Team Registration/Information Table

Help us organize the teams and get them checked in each day of the event.

Food/snack table

Help us organize and hand out food.

Water station

Help us keep coolers filled with ice and water.

Ball Tracker
Help us keep track of our game balls so the teams can keep playing.
