“Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty;” (Psalm 104:1)

This summer, serving with Kaleo, God is helping me understand His Kingdom in a whole new way.

Everywhere I look in this San Diego community, in each of the ministries that Kaleo partners with, I get a glimpse of His kingdom being built through the relationships, service and the further outreach of spreading the gospel, the beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ, witnessing lives transformed by His divine word.

One of the ways I’ve seen His provision is through a ministry called Bridge of Hope. As they bless the people around them, God comes right back around and provides double the amount they gave. I’ve seen pots and pans, beds, and furniture provided, new people willing to help and volunteer, the list goes on and on. I also see God’s provision at our Bridge of Hope Kaleo Kids club! Seeing kids have fun and learning more about Jesus and having fun while learning is exactly the picture I see of Heaven coming down to Earth. I also see God’s provision in the youth groups coming in to serve alongside of Kaleo! Youth ministries excite me beyond words. Building relationships, sharing laughs, teaching them about how amazing Jesus is and how warm hearted they are in serving for God’s glory is a picture of Heaven touching earth. As a leader, it is by God’s gracious gift that I get to witness younger generations on fire for God in loving Him through loving people and serving for the Kingdom. Being able to host the teams that come is a blessing, seeing Jesus move in such powerful ways only that He can and having the power of the Holy Spirit that is within me to be led by Him to lead groups to Christ and help them grow in a closer relationship with the Father is a picture of Heaven touching Earth.
