Our Living God is Changing Lives

In the last couple weeks with Kaleo, it has been apparent to me that our God is a living God, active and present in this city and in the lives of his people. So many people, whether consciously or unconsciously, imagine God as removed from the world or indifferent to the details of our lives. But my experiences these last couple weeks point time and time again to a God who is paying attention. God seems to have handpicked the circumstances, environment, and scheduling for each specific group. Let me tell you, it has been cool to watch. What has been even better is seeing that it is God’s presence in these small details of daily life that lead people to change and to see the world through a different lens.

Everyone’s eyes are muddled by sin, but as followers of Christ we are continually sanctified and our eyes are made clear; As we seek God’s face in our daily lives, God makes our eyes better and our bodies are filled with Light. Light that is knowledge and Light that is Christ. I am unbelievably excited to be a part of this process here in Portland and I pray that God will continue to develop my eyes and the eyes of the students and leaders that come here to serve.
