Prayerful Reflections

Hi! I have had a blast this summer so far!  We are in our second week of ministry and I have truly enjoyed being able to witness the Lord working in my life, our students lives and in the city. Before my time here at Kaleo I prayed and read my bible with a somewhat mediocre faith knowing that I wanted my faith to be strengthened.  I have rarely been able to pray with complete trust that Christ cares for the little things we need or want and somehow I always put his abilities in a box without giving Him everything on my mind. It was as if I felt I needed to present myself in a certain way to Him but recently I have felt that I can just come the way I am good or bad.
During my time here I have been praying throughout the day; I am in constant conversation with God instead of only calling on Him when in need. Prayer has always been something I have over analyzed and I feel I am finally able to be in simple but beautiful conversation with my Father in heaven.

“Always be joyful. Pray continually and give thanks for whatever happens.  That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus” –1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

God bless,

Lucy
